2022 World Eventing Champion

Yasmin Ingham is the current Eventing World Champion on board her top horse Banzai du Loir.

Yasmin was born and spent her early years on the Isle of Man, being a member of the Isle of Man branch of the Pony Club, competing in many disciplines. She also competed in working hunter showing classes qualifying for the Royal International Horse Show and Horse of the Year Show.

After deciding that Eventing was the discipline for her with the help of her trainer, she found a pony called Craig Mor Tom. Although tricky in the dressage and showjumping, together they formed a wonderful partnership and went onto win individual and team gold medals at the Pony Europeans, 2013.

After leaving school at 16, Yasmin moved to the UK to ride horses for Eddie and Sue Davies and Janette Chin at the Pewit Stud in Cheshire. Yasmin took on a couple of ex 5* horses from Mary King and she gained invaluable experience, winning the Junior National Title and longlisted for the Junior Europeans although sadly ended in an injury.

After a couple of years learning her trade, in 2018 she won the National Young rider championships and was selected for the Young Rider Europeans where she finished 4th onboard Rehy DJ. In 2019, she won the under-25 British Championship.

Yasmin had a phenomenal 2022, coming second at her first 5* at Kentucky wearing her lucky Charles Owen SP8 helmet, and followed this up with not only an impressive selection for the world championship but also by becoming World Champion.

In 2023, although 20 jumping penalties at the Europeans kept them off the individual podium, she collected team gold and won the prestigious CCI4*-S at Aachen.

In 2024, she has started off her season strong, coming 3rd at Kentucky 5*. She won Bicton 3*L on one of her younger up and coming horses, Gypsie du Loir. After being selected on the long list for Team GB at the Olympic games, Yasmin won the 4*S aboard Banzai du Loir and placed 3rd in the 5L on Rehy DJ. Yasmin was chosen to go the Paris Olympics and although there was disappointment to be the alternate combination she gained invaluable experience. She ended the year with a top 10 finish at Pau 5*L.

In 2025, Yasmin decided to compete at her debut Badminton aboard Rehy DJ and jumped a fantastic clear XC but had to withdraw before the SJ. Alongside her top horses Yasmin has a string of lovely upcoming horses with 3 international wins in 2025 already!

We are excited to see what else the year brings!
